Real talk: Hugo Chavez actually might not live forever

Dictatorship problems.

Over a year ago, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez announced to his people that he has cancer, and he’s been taking the odd little trip to communist-buddy Cuba for treatment. Ever since, the Venezuelan government has kept up the pretense that Chavez’s life is in no immediate danger, he’s sure to be cured, his illness isn’t [...]

Communists to Allen West: How dare you accuse us of having Democrats as members?

Insults.

Even reds have standards, my friends. No, I’m kidding. They’re indignant on behalf of the Democrats, not on behalf of themselves. Although … that’s kind of strange, no? You would think a commie’s reaction to congressmen being accused of communism would be, “What’s wrong with that?”, not “How dare you?” “I just think it’s an [...]

Open thread: The brawl to settle it all; Update: Newt leads nationally by 9

Sunshine.

8 p.m. ET on CNN, it’s Gingrich’s last chance to stop what suddenly looks like a Romney coronation in the last big early-state primary. What can he do here to regain the big Mo? Call Wolf Blitzer a communist, maybe? Or, as a Twitter buddy suggested today, extend his demand for seven three-hour Lincoln/Douglas debates [...]

Matt Weidner | The Day My Son Was Born Was The Worst Day of My Life…

Explosion | Bomb Tossed into Occupy Maine Encampment after Shoutings of “Get a Job” and “You Communist”

Chemical bomb tossed into Occupy Maine encampment PORTLAND — Occupy Maine protesters say Sunday morning’s attack with a chemical explosive has left them with a mixture of anxiety and resolve. “We are more motivated to keep doing what we’re doing,” said Stephanie Wilburn, of Portland, who was sitting near where the chemical mixture in a … Read more Related posts:

Please Watch 60 Minutes Tonight!

For a variety of reasons, I’ve been a bit quite on the blog of late.  I certainly don’t have less to say and things have not gotten better to where I feel I can stop…..I’m just biding my time…..and preparing.

Good law continues to be made in most of my cases and while that gives me some comfort, I continue to be concerned about all the bad, horrible, unconstitutional law that’s being made every day in courtrooms all across the state.  This period will be a very dark time in our court’s history…a fact that I think many people are finally waking up to now.

I get the sense that some people finally get it now and that people understand just how dark and sinister the machinations of Governor Rick Scott and the powers in Tallahassee really are. The Bar, the bench and the entire legal community are absolutely retching now as they see legislative proposal after proposal that attack the very foundations of our legal system….and the attacks are just going to keep coming.  Everyone just stood aside and shrugged their shoulders as long as the attacks were coming at people in foreclosure courts….they cheered when the absurd “Rocket Docket” was established…..but those were just the opening salvos in a very dangerous war…..and now they’re coming after the entire court system…..remember what I said…..

First They came… – Pastor Martin Niemoller

First they came for the communists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a Jew.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Anyway, we’re too deep now for any of the easier fixes that could have worked when we all started sounding the warning alarms.  But Watch tonight’s episode of 60 Minutes where they will be delving into some of the consequences….and problems….

Fox News National- JPMorganChase- The Banks As Burglars – Jack Booted Thughs Breaking Into Homes

The banks are becoming more bold, kicking down doors, terrorizing people, taking property, throwing personal possessions into the street.

Will police do anything about it?  Oftentimes no.  But far too often, homeowners fail to pursue these claims.  Sometimes they think the bank has the right to break into their homes.  In examples I’ve collected from all across the country, the banks explain to the neighbors or homeowner that they have the right to take the homeowner’s property because it has been “abandoned”.  Budget challenged law enforcement concedes to this absurd “legal” analysis and lets them get away with it.  I want you to understand just exactly why we must fight this…..

First they came for the communists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a Jew.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

First they came for Nancy Jacobini, did you speak out?

First They Came for the Homeowner in Foreclosure, and I didn’t Speak Up…

“They came first for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for me and by that time no one was left to speak up.

At times it’s a struggle to explain to some people, even some judges, why the honorable and ethical defense attorneys fight so hard for homeowners and for respect of rules and the basic rights.  I know that the exceptional attorneys that are our brothers and sisters in the foreclosure battle fight this fight not for the money and not because it’s just a job.  They fight this battle because deep within the professional soul, your voice of conscience tells you that you must fight to keep the flicker of justice burning.

The generosity, the openness, the professionalism and courtesy of the unsung fighters illustrates the very best qualities that our society wishes all attorneys exhibited.  Every day more attorneys join this good and principled fight and every day more and more judges join in with recognition and awareness that what is at stake in every foreclosure case is far greater than just the individual wrongdoing in that case…fundamental liberties are at stake.

The Pino decision is pivotal moment in our state and in our country’s history.  Will the highest court in the land seize upon the awesome responsibility to take charge of this chaos or will this state continue down deeper into this pit?  In my mind, there is only one option.  It’s time to lance this boil that covers the state.  We’ve got to open it up, excize the cancer and let it all drain out.  Only then can we begin to begin to rebuild, to earn the public’s trust again and move forward.

As a profession, as a society, as a country, we cannot just sit back and let these wrongs that are occurring continue to happen to those among us who are suffering the most.  We cannot continue to allow this full frontal assault on them is an assault on our courts, our laws and on our basic liberties.  We must understand that this assault upon all of them is just the latest wave of attacks and assault on every one of us.

It’s not to late to stop the worst of this from coming, but we’ve got to understand the magnitude of these attacks and work together to ensure that they do not continue….the alternative is not acceptable in any fashion.

You’re rights are being stepped on… you gonna fight back?

Can I file a complaint against Obama for assault and battery? Don’t I wish…

I don’t know about you but I know those I talk to are really upset and there is a palpable rage growing that I know is real.

I have a fairly unique perspective in that I have regular business relationships with community leaders in at least 15 states. These men and women are very in touch with their communities and could pretty quickly give you some characterizations of how people are feeling… how things are going… what are people angry about… what people are happy about, etc. etc.

I’m going to be inviting all of them to come to this forum and share what’s going on from their perspective.

Why is this important? Well, I truly believe we are facing an all-out assault on our constitution. Like, it’s happening right now… I really believe we have to truly “get in the fight” right now or we will lose valuable ground to people who want to legislate and tax us to no end – their policies will absolutely lead to a diminished America.

I’m sure that those who fought our previous wars didn’t “want” to have to leave comforts of home or work hard, train long and ultimately “sacrifice” their life and the comforts of home but it became a crisis of moral necessity. Do not make the grave mistake of thinking that we can’t literally go back 200 years in short form from a freedom perspective. A revolution is what we need now. A peaceful one in hopes that a peaceful revolution will prevent a bloody one.

We are blessed that, at current, we do not literally need to bear arms and fight a bloody revolution because the oppression hasn’t grown to that level yet. If we are lazy, apathetic and simply choose to remain in this “fog of materialistic pleasure” and forget how much blood has had to be spilled to have these freedoms, well, if that happens, I believe these freedoms will disappear.

Please, do not let us as a nation, be ignorant of World History and American History. Don’t let us be the generation that history looks back on and says, “they just fell asleep at the wheel and didn’t stop it when it should have. Now look at all the pain and blood we’ve had to give to try and get what they had back.”

I pray we don’t convey that terrible price to our kids or grandchildren but that may become reality unless we do act; and we WILL.

So, get involved in this and in your communities. It’s that important that it demands you give “getting involved” some of your time. Make a conscious, daily effort to be a defender of liberty and our precious constitutional rights. Protect them vigorously.

How quickly they forget

Truth be told that the far left wing are just simply: hypocrites. They rant and rave about the goings on of the right and then commit far worse acts of hatred than anyone on the right. Nothing like having a communist from Chicago in the White House. I don’t think the left, generally speaking, Nobama, Tim the tax cheat, Barney, Hillary, Reid, Pelosi, Dodd or any of the other “jokers” in this administration really, truly understand what they’re up against once they finish pissing off the core of this country. Well, as Michelle Malkin said, “how quickly they forget.”
